Two advantages that females have due to the organization of their brains are superiority in verbal tests and being able to convey emotions better due to the fact that their emotional functions are within the left and right side of the brain, when for men, the function is only in the right side. Female brains are superior in verbal tests because language skills including grammar, spelling, and writing are all housed in the left side of the brain, whereas in a male brain, the language skills are located in the front and back of the brain which makes it harder for them to pull this information. This means that it is easier for women to recall language skills because it all resides in the left side of the brain. Women are also superior in conveying their emotions because their emotional functions are within their left and right side of their brains. This means that women are capable are speaking their emotions because their emotional functions also resides with the language functions which means women can actually speak their emotions while men struggle with this.…

They contain a will to go further than their expectation in school to outperform others. David Brooks says in the article Mind over Muscle that, “In surveys, kindergarten teachers report that girls are more attentive than boys and more persistent at tasks”. David Brooks uses the tone of empowerment to show that women exceed in education, learning and they pass men in their intelligence. The author wants to explain that boys and girls have different learning abilities and that there education values are different as well. Boys at an early age tend to not want to go to school and learn skills that will help them in the future and girls gain the ability to stay still and listen to what the teachers are trying to say to them. This abilities can lead and effect both boys and girl in different ways. The article states, “through elementary school, girls are less likely to be asked to repeat a grade. They are much less likely to be diagnosed with learning disability”. Boys tend to acquire a disability that affect the way they learn, girls tend to not get it as much as boys do. There might be more stress on boys in school to learn than the girls to do the same and that might cause the boys to have a melt down and cause the disability to learn. There can also be change in the they learn in…

The child whether a boy or a girl will end up being taught many different sets of behaviors and how they should act. She also states that when children are born, there is no such difference in brain. They do not inherit intellectual differences. Basically, children start from a clean slate. Gender differences are learned from culture and society. This is how they learn what roles are expected of them. For example, boys do not develop special skills because of innate differences, it is because they are expected and encouraged to be strong, artistic and smatter in math. Similarly, girls are treated to be more emotional, empathizers and talkative. Dr. Fine does not disagree completely with opposing article; she does imply that there is no enough evidence to support the gender stereotypes. Psychology today blog also supports Dr. Fine’s idea that human behavior is learned from the society and culture. This blog is stating that men learn that they are not good at communicating their emotions. Women, on the other hand, learn that they are bad in math and can’t take leadership…

Most Universities offer classes for aspiring teachers in the theories behind education, classroom management, lesson plan writing and the history of education. All of these classes and subjects are relevant in their own rights but one class that isn’t often offered is the differences between boy and girl brain development and what that means to education. Even when a fetus is formed, there are biological differences happening from day one that will create either a boy or a girl and will determine numerous differences between them. This research is important and extremely relevant to understanding why boys are the way that they are and learn in the way that they do. Girls have traits that are tremendously different than boys and with the knowledge of this research, a teacher can tailor his/her instruction to fit all of the learning needs of their students.…
