Is Harry Houdini A Mathematician
Harry Houdini Harry Houdini was one of the world’s best magicians, and changed the way people look at entertainment. Not only was he an astonishing entertainer, he would break the ideas of reality. Houdini was very fond of the stage life at a very young age and began to do acts. As he grew older, his acts became more extreme and more stunning. Nobody knew that these acts were going to make Harry Houdini one of the best magicians on the planet. Almost everyone knows that Harry Houdini was a famous magician, but how did he get that far? Harry Houdini was originally born as Ehrich Weisz in Budapest, Hungary. When he was about eight years old, him, his mother, and his siblings moved to America for a better life. His father’s work wasn’t the most successful, so Ehrich had to start work at a very young age. But, Ehrich always found himself attracted to the stage and had his first performance at the age of 9 as a trapeze artist. As Ehrich grew older he became more and more successful. But, he was known for making some very, very suicidal career moves. Although some of these career moves may have been dangerous, Houdini always found a way to get out of it. Some of his dumb decisions ended up making him an even better entertainer. …show more content…
He began his magic career in New York, performing at any place that would let him. In 1893, Harry and his brother Theo performed at the World’s Fair, getting a lot of attention. Even through all of this success, the Houdini’s were still not doing well financially, so Harry had to pick up small magic acts to get by. Things did eventually look up for the Houdini’s when they were given a chance to travel abroad. They took the opportunity and traveled to places all over the world, giving Houdini the chance to share his talent with over millions of
