These past few weeks at AXIA College online have been great. The resources available are great we have an online library that gives you access to virtually anything. We have some really cool writing centers and for me and my scattered brain, I think it’s going to help me put all my thought’s down effectively. We even have a center to help out for math. The online classroom and campus is so easy to navigate and get used to. I really like the online classroom environment and discussion. It is fun to interact with classmates from around the country. Our online books are cool too! But the biggest thing is the faculty and staff of UOP is really what made this all possible for me from the ease of the enrollment to financial process. I must admit at first I was little intimidated, but after the orientation I felt right at home. I think maybe with your busy schedule you might want to consider this college for yourself.…

By now you may be wondering what do colors have to do with this? Well if you look at the American flag you'll see the colors I talked about in the beginning. What the United States flag means to me is freedom. I hear the stories of the people who have their whole life chosen for them in different countries. Which sounds absolutely horrifying to me. I enjoy being able to decide my future like what kind of job i'm going to have or what college I’m going to go to. I don’t want that taken away from me.The Flag also ensures me as much safety as possible. What I mean by that is we have so many people who risked their life and are risking their life right now to keep that flag standing. All those people who have died died to ensure that I and everyone else live free and that means the world to me.…

Is it right to burn a flag? If so why would someone do it? Maybe its because they feel that the united states isn’t really united as one. After reading the texts “American flag stands for tolerance” “My so called enemy” and “Texas vs. Johnson” the reader can understand the each of these texts supported information as to how different people from different religions and cultures should be accepted in our country. Also these texts tell the reader how the first amendment protects our rights to have freedom of speech freedom of religion. etc. and that we as human beings must be willing to accept people or opinions that are different from ourselves.…

    Confederate Symbols

Unfortunately, this answer raises serious questions concerning legality issues, as government intervention appears the only option. Under the editorial’s reasonings, both private and public Confederate symbols would be removed from the public. Plus, it is unfair to those suffering from the racist behaviors of Confederate flag supporters to only remove the artifacts from the public, but allow those same artifacts to be owned by the very people who discriminate them. Indisputably, however, human beings are both prideful and stubborn, and the entire population of America will not allow symbols of the Confederacy to be simply removed from their own private property. Government action –laws announcing that it is prohibited to own or display these…

What does the flag mean to you? To me it means Hope, Freedom, Trust, and Respect. Well that what it means to me the flag is something that lets people know that they are safe and know that we are good people and you do not have to be scarred. My dad served for the air force and the army. He knows a lot so I feel safe. But it’s hard to let him go but he is still alive. The American Flag, Hope, is trust worthy and believing yourself, Freedom, being able to vote no madder what race you are and not being owned by someone eels that shows Freedom. “What does the American flag mean to me?” The American flag shows how the soldiers fight for our freedom and go through tough times. They all sacrifice a lot for our freedom. Each soldier is cool and we should thank them. We show our thanks by saluting the flag. Also by putting my hand over my heart and saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag at school. I also take of my hat to show respect.…

Have you ever been put down for your beliefs, or maybe your color. The reason you were put down is because you were different from them. In our society accepting differences has become irrelevant. My class and I have been reading a collection of books from different authors. Each author had a different thought on accepting differences. I chose two texts and a video to help me discuss their different opinions on accepting differences. I chose the text “American Flag Stands for Tolerance”, “The Wife’s Story”, and I chose the video My So Called Enemy. In these next few paragraphs I will discuss the diverse thoughts of the authors.…
