Irrefutable Laws Of Leadership Book Report
John C. Maxwell’s book The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership is designed to help the reader understand the detrimental building blocks of leadership. The book provides twenty-one laws that Maxwell claims are the fundamentals of successful leadership. Overall, the general main idea or theme is that if a person can successfully implement the twenty-one laws of leadership into their daily life and behavior, then they can become the successful leader of a highly successful organization. Maxwell suggests that leadership ultimately determines the success of an organization and that a successful leader understands what leadership is, how it functions, how to obtain it, and how to use it. Maxwell plots the book out in a well-structured fashion that allows the reader to understand his purpose and message clearly and with easy understanding. Each of the twenty-one laws has a chapter dedicated to it. Within the chapter, readers will find an explanation of what the law is, what it means, what it looks like in use, and how to obtain it. While it can be used for personal needs, the book is designed with the work-force in mind. Many of the examples, explanations, and suggestions given relate directly to using the law at hand in the work-force. Maxwell spends a near majority of the time discussing the use of each law within an organization. Additionally, the author pushes the idea that leaders create, support, and develop successful organizations, further pushing the professional intent of the book. Just as the book could be used as a personal guide, it could be used as a professional guide when trying to find ways to fix and reform problems in the work force. The book can be used to identify weak areas of leadership within an organization and then provide the support needed to uproot and repair the weak
