CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents, analyzes, and interprets the data gathered to answer the questions of the study the employed learning style and the preferred teaching method of the selected grade six pupils of Kapitan Moy Elementary School to improve their English Language skills.

Table 1 presents the data gathered by the researchers regarding their first quarter grades in English. Table 1

Base from the table above the researchers found out that most of the grade six pupils don’t have satisfactory grades. It is shown that out of the 100 pupils that were selected, 5% have a grade of 70-73, 21% for 74-77, 42% for 78-81, and 25% for 82-85 and not even one for 90 and above. The most common grade that the respondents got in their English subject is 78-81 with the highest percentage of 42%. It seems that most of the pupils encountered difficulties in their English subject as clearly shown in their grade during the first quarter. None of them got a grade with a line of nine because the highest is in the range of 86-89 only with 7%. It is also seen in the table that more than 5% of the respondents didn’t pass in the first quarter.

Based from the table above, the researchers found out that 77% of the grade 6 pupils are having difficulties in their English subject while 23% responded that they do not have difficulties in the subject.
