In this study we have found a number of communication theories that coincide with our study material . Here are the theories that we have encountered in our study :
1 ) Theory Agenda - setting theory introduced by McComb and DL Shaw (1972 ) . This theory says that if the media pressure or sensationalize an event or thing , it brings will affect the audience to assume it is something big or important . It thus means the media has a great influence on the formation of public thought . In our study , we found that this theory is found in the government's measures to overcome this issue . What we found , mass media and electronics less member of attention and emphasis on this issue . This causes people consider this issue not just decadent and too keep abreast of this case .
2 ) Dependency Theory EFFECTS OF MASS COMMUNICATION
- This theory was founded by Sandra Ball - Rokeachdan Melvin l . DeFluer (1976 ) . This theory formed from the attitude of modern society who consider mass media as an information system important in their lives . As a result the mass media can create and get rid of the theories of communication ( Cognitive ) , creating fear and anxiety ( Affective ) , activate , mobilize and defuse issues and solutions rather something ( Behavioral ) . In this study , we found that this theory applies to actions Uncle Seekers who use the medium of social communication (blogs ) to disseminate personal and confidential information especially the Malay sultans of the Sultanate of Johor. This action has caused a lot of reaction and perception to the Sultanate khalyak many when they read this information on social sites frequently accessed by them . While these issues are not as sensationalized by the media, the perception among the fixed arise because they are dependent information on social sites that they visit .
3 ) Theory of behaviorism
- theory pioneered by John B. Watson (1878-1958) of America known as the Father of Behaviorism .
