Interview with Zio Charbel(organising)
Introduction
Charbel was born on the 4th of May 1980. He is the uncle of Cristian Bortolin. He was born at the Freemason hospital in Melbourne. He grew up in quite a few houses, seven to be exact. His first house was in Carlton where he had only lived for a year, his second was in Thornbury where he spent about 6-7 years living there. He then moved into a house in Coburg where he spent about 8 years in, he then moved to a house in Rocks-burg park where he spent another 8 years in. When Charbel got married to a woman named Josie, he moved into a small house in Lalor, he was 29 at the time, and 7 years later they decided to build a new house because they had, had 2 kids and the house was getting cramped.

Charbel has accomplished many things, like his bucket list for example, which is getting married or travelling through Europe, having kids. He has also had minor accomplishments like being a captain for the AFL team in primary school.

Child Hood
After Charbel was born, his parents, Camille and Gizelle cared for him just like they did with his older brother Danny who was born on the 15th of June 1979. Two years after Charbel was born his brother Dorry was born on the 14th of August 1982 and then, seven years later, his sister Joanne was born on the 20th of January 1989. He was born into a Lebanese family with a Maronite catholic religion. Although he didn’t practice his religion he still strongly believes in it. When Charbel became of age he went to primary school at Sacred Heart in Preston. During those years he had four main friends, their names were Chris, Dean, George and Peter. He only remembers a few of his teacher’s names which were Miss Bacash, Mr Stevens and Mrs George. Fortunately, he was not bullied in school. He claims that some of the main highlights throughout those years was being the AFL football captain in year 5 and 6, and going to Lebanon in army clothes. Before they left his

He claims that he has accomplished two out of three of those goals, a happy family and a successful career. Charbel, like most people has a bucket list, he says that the main things on that bucket list are to have a white Christmas (Christmas with snow), a trip to Disney land, retirement before too old to enjoy, a trip to Las Vegas, a trip to Paris, to get married and to travel through Europe. So far, he has accomplished three, he has been to Paris, has gotten married and has travelled through Europe. He, like most of us, would take the opportunity to go back in time to change something. He says that he wouldn’t have sold the houses that he used to own (eg. a past family members house). He says that he would change that because it would have helped him to reach one of his life goals, to be independently wealthy. Charbel’s current favourite hobbies are AFL, golf and classic cars. When he was asked what his biggest fear was he said that is was harm to family. His fear from when he was younger was a flash of light (like a camera flash). The reason for this is because when he was younger he had, had a lot of operations, particularly on the lungs and nose. Sometimes he would see the bright lights in the operating theatre. So, whenever he would take photos the bright light would remind him of the operating theatre and he would get scared and would run away. Charbel is one of the

Just recently I had the pleasure of interviewing Joe Zimet, my elbow partner. Through this, I was able to learn more about him. I now have the privilege of sharing this information with you so that we can all know him better. Joe was born in England where he lived for the first year of his life. He has a “pretty tight relationship” with his family, especially his brother Tom. Those who know both of them often say that they look almost exactly the same. He enjoys school and has been in both the EAP program and the AAP program. In case you don’t know, those are advanced academic programs offered by the Northshore School District. Despite this focus on school, he tells me, "baseball is my passion." He plays on a local team and enjoys watching…

    * At the end of the story, the narrator describes a glass sitting over Sonny’s piano as shaking “like the very cup of trembling” to highlight what a difficult and complicated position Sonny is in. This image is borrowed from the Bible, where the cup of trembling is used as a symbol to describe the suffering and fear that have plagued the people. The biblical passage promises a relief from that suffering, but Baldwin’s use of the cup of trembling as a symbol is less overt.…

For my interview, I chose to have a very close family member tell part of her life story, For the purpose of this interview, we will call her Karla. She came to the United States with her parents when she was a little girl. She grew up in the middle of two cultures, exposed to two different ways of life. She always manages to be in a great mood and I can always count on her opinion on many subjects, with the certainty she always tries to approach every subject with a non-bias opinion. She grew up knowing the good and bad about being a bilingual child, raised with parents that did not speak Spanish. She is always telling us stories on “when she was growing up.” She managed to put herself through college with no family financial assistance.…

I recently had the honor of interviewing someone in our community who has had more than thirty years of leadership experience in our community. The interview ended up taking much longer than I expected because I was so influenced by what he had to say, I did not want to miss anything. Mr. Kevin Henderson started his career as a cook back in the 60's for the Jolly Ox (Steak & Ale) restaurant. His leadership abilities were quickly realized, and he was promoted to Store manager. From there he moved on to the Shoney's Restaurant Corporation where he remained for twenty five years serving as a regional supervisor, and finally working his way up to the President of the Steak House Division of Shoney's. This consisted…
