Interracial relationships have been a major conflict among many families and individuals throughout the world. Everyone has their own opinions about conflicts in the world today. Some individuals hope for the legalization of marijuana, abortions, interracial relationships and gun control. In this case, the discussion is interracial relationships. There are both positive and negative reactions attached to those who are involved in an interracial relationship. Interracial relationships should be accepted and legalized in today’s society because one could avoid promoting discrimination, .......?? According to “The Debate of Interracial Marriages and the Unseen Barriers of Relationships”, there are some interesting studies that were done by Bramlett and Mosher in 2002, that in which they found that by the tenth year of marriage, 41% of interracial couples had divorced, taking in consideration that this number is being compared to 31% of same-race couples. In the years of 1985 to 1989, a shocking 55% had come to an end. (Bratter & King, p.160).The United States is only one of the several countries around the world that have debated and banned such acts. Luckily as a country, we have become successful in the past fifty years by recognizing the injustice in banning these interracial relationships and marriages. As the world continues to move into the modern age, more people from different races are becoming a part of interracial relationships. In today’s world, interracial relationships bring diversity and happiness to many people’s life. Despite the many happy interracial relationships some couples experience; others might have it a little bit more difficult than they actually had planned for themselves.
