Integrity In The Workplace
The “National Association of Social Work Website” has listed six core values which are essential in the social work profession, but the two that I feel are most important to me are integrity, dignity and worth of person. Integrity is important to me because it’s the foundation of being honest and trustworthy. It helps guide your moral judgment and professional/personal conduct; in addition, it guides your professional demeanor. Integrity helps build trusting and long lasting relations. When people know that you are a person of integrity they trust that you will always do the right thing and will never comprise yourself or them. Having integrity also brings about respect. People will respect you for who you are if they do not always agree with

    This case was based on George Tenet and the decisions he made within the CIA, successful and unsuccessful. Tenet served under the Clinton and Bush administrations from 1997-2004. During the Clinton administration, his main focus was to rebuild the CIA from its lack of morale and budget issues. Surprisingly (in my opinion because of his lack of experience), he was successful in the beginning process of rebuilding. Unfortunately for him, after Bush was elected the 9/11 attacks happened and his success started to decline. The decisions he made during the Bush administration and his lack of focus led to the demise of the DCI and the weakening of the CIA. I think his popularity during the Clinton administration got to his head and he just got sloppy during the Bush administration, but his decisions tremendously affected the way CIA is run today.…

    One of the values upheld in social work is social justice (Turner, 2011). This value has some connection with the emphasis by relational cultural theory of creating a society in which everyone receives equal treatment regardless of different individual abilities.     Honesty, Integrity, and Trust are all key factors in the cohesion of a unit. Knowing you can trust the other preforming members in your respective unit, builds a good team building environment that leads to the highest quality of success and increase of morale within the unit.
