SPEECH TO INSPIRE
Business Disaster Preparedness
To be able to inspire the listeners on how business run in this situation. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark; this is a quote by Howard Ruff. Indeed, a prepared person knows when to do certain things at the proper time and with the right mindset on what is or will be happening in the future. And also, according to Roger Staubach, “In business or in football, it takes a lot of unspectacular preparation to produce spectacular results; in short every little things you do to make your business run well you need to be prepared and ready on what lies ahead of you. Business is like a flower, when it is properly taken care of, it will bloom into a very beautiful and vibrant one. If not well taken care of, then eventually it will lose its glow and die. Businesses can do many things to prepare with the natural calamities- floods, storms and hazards-stealing, pirating, threats, hacking, etc. we are facing in today’s world. If the business is strategized properly, the business will still continue to run well even though it is in a rough situation. Its continuity is very important to each businessmen; it is their “life”. It is their only way they can earn a living and to provide a living; a give and take opportunity to the businessmen and workers. Preparedness, when properly pursued, is a way of life, not a sudden, spectacular program; a quote from Spencer W. Kimball. If everything is planned well, then there won’t be any problem. Just look at for example the ant; it is always looking for food to put up in the storage so that when storm comes, they have something to eat. They are always prepared and they benefited from what they strive hard. It is better safe than sorry.
