Specific Purpose: to inform my audience about celebration traditions around the world
Central idea: to inform my audience about different wedding, festivals and birthday traditions in different countries.
INTRODUCTION

B. In fact, it is a wedding tradition in Scotland
C. The bride and the groom are taken by surprise by their friends and covered with foul and disgusting substances. As if that weren’t enough, the couple is then paraded about by their friends making as much noise as possible.

Birthday celebration is an ancient European tradition, which evolved as attempts to fend off the evil spirits that people believed were attracted to a person celebrating their birthday. The act of giving gifts and well wishing follows this.
B. In China, When a Chinese child turns one year old, it is a very important event. The parents might tell the baby 's fortune by placing the baby in the center of a group of objects (such as coins, a doll, a book, etc.)
1. In China, it is considered unlucky to give someone a clock for a birthday present
2. Or eating a plate of long noodles
C. In Australia, the children eat a dish called “Fairy Bread”. This is a popular snack and is buttered bread covered with tiny, sprinkles known as “hundreds and thousands”.
D. In India, for a child celebrating his first birthday to have his head shaved. This act symbolizes the shedding of negative energies associated with past lives. The children kneel at their parents ' feet as a sign of respect
The celebration also includes visiting a shrine for a special prayer.
