Objective of the Study

Every task has a particular aim. a study without objectives cannot reach the destination. My industrial tour report was also directed to some particular targets. The basic objectives is to know about the Performance Evaluation Through Ratio Analysis of Usmania Glass Sheet Factory Ltd. However the main objectives of the study are as follows:
1. To know about the sample enterprise
2. To know bout the Performance of the sample enterprise
3. To examine the Lacking of the sample enterprise
4. To make some recommendation for the company.

Methodology of the Study

In order to make the Report more meaningful and presentable, two sources of data and information have been used widely.

Both primary and secondary data sources were used to generate the report
The “Primary Sources” are as follows –
Face-to-face conversation with the respective officers and staffs of the Branch.
 Informal conversation with the management and accounting bodies of the organization.
 Practical work exposures from the different desks of the various departments of the organization.
 Open ended and close ended question.
The “Secondary Sources” of data and information are –
 Annual Report (2001) of UGSFL.
 Companies previous report.
 Companies other published information.
 Printing materials of the company.
Various books, articles, other regulations regarding Ratio Analysis of the company.

Scope of the study

For the students of BBA (Accounting), industrial tour report is an important part of academic program. According to topic, the scope of our industrial tour report is limited. We went to the various departments of Usmania Glass Sheet Factory Limited and make a discussion with the accounts and management officials and to collect their annual report and other necessary documents needed to prepare the report on the basis of the main view point of the report "Managerial Performance Evaluation through Ratio Analysis of

    Ratio analysis is a tool brought by individuals used to evaluate analysis of information in the financial statements of a business. The ratio analysis forms an essential part of the financial analysis which is a vital part in the business planning. There are 3 different ways of assessing businesses performance and these are: solvency, profitability and performance. Ratio analysis assists managers to work out the production of the company by figuring the profitability ratios. Also, the management can evaluate their revenues to check if their productivity. Thus, probability ratios are helpful to the company in evaluating its performance based on current earning. By measuring the solvency ratio, the companies are able to keep an eye on the correlation between the assets and the liabilities. If, in any case, the liabilities exceed the assets, the company is able to know its financial position. This is helpful in case they wish to set up a plan for loan repayment. Ratio analysis is also helpful in analysing the performance of a company. Through financial analysis, companies can review their performance in the past years. This is also helpful in identifying their weaknesses and improving on them. Polish Fine Foods needs to use ratio analysis because it is a valuable tool for the business’s management to determine the performance of a business and to control the cost measures when necessary. Also, ratio analysis helps them monitor and identify issues that can be highlighted and resolved. However, ratio analysis doesn’t take into account external factors such as a worldwide recession.…
