The article “Improving Motivation and Productivity of Police Officers” presents unfavorable factors commonly seen in the law enforcement field that are known to affect the number of individuals that work the job. In addition, the article also discusses ways to develop positivity in the police work environment. With the help of this website, I will be able to educate my audience on the challenges faced by law enforcement personnel. Additionally, the content of the article will help me organize the Law Enforcement Career Fairs for women and Lunch With Cops program I plan to introduce the solutions to the issue I have chosen. The article covers a wide range of statistics such as the increase of female officers in the field, the growth of sworn personnel in law enforcement agencies, and amount of separation of officers from law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the source also mentions a few incentives that agencies use to attract more employees as well as retention strategies. Although I will not be able to use every table on this article nor will all of them be useful, I will be able to cite the ones dealing with an increase and/or decrease of officers and female officers throughout the years and the ones that show recruitment and retention …show more content…
I plan on using the links titled “The Role of Women in Policing Today,” “Female Perspectives - Testimonials,” and “Questions.” “The Role of Women in Policing Today” covers a method of policing called community policing and informs its audience of training, patrol, and qualities. “Female Perspectives - Testimonials” contains questions that were asked to three female police officers and their answers. The questions cover the characteristic of their career. “Question” discusses the main aspect of the jobs such as physical ability, job suitability, family life, and dangers of the job. The wide variety of information found in “Women In Policing” will provide much valuable information that I will be able to use for my essay and
