Impromed: Company Analysis
Each software has a company that manages and distributes the product. Henry Schein became majority owner of both AVImark and Impromed in 2011. The company, has been around since 1932 and is one of the most prominent healthcare distributors around the globe. On their website, Henry Schein.com they state, “Henry Schein, Inc. is the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health and medical practitioners. The Company also serves dental laboratories, government and institutional health care clinics, and other alternate care sites” (Henry Schein.com “About Me”). Impromed, is the leading manufacturer of several software programs, but the focus will be on their Infinity version. Impromed is the oldest provider of veterinary software (since 1979).
