Importance Of Being Respectful
Being respectful to people can go a long way. Just by not being rude and being respectful can go a long way. Be respectful to your parents for all they have done for you and the little they ask for back. Be respectful to cops for what they do for you also. They have to deal with people who need to be off the street all day long and then we don't have to worry about them being on the streets. Even if they pull you over and you get upset but they are just doing their jobs just like you and they have to make a living just like everyone else. They are also just trying to keep you safe and keep others safe as well. We need to have to be respectful to truck drivers also for what they do for us. They might be a truck driver but a lot of people complain

Respect is a very strong fiber of my being. My childhood made me realize that treating people the way you would like to be treated is not just something we heard in school, it should be lived by. Everyone starts off with the same level of respect from me. It does not matter one 's title, sex, race, religion, or sexual preference. If you are a living, breathing, human being I will treat you as I would like to be treated. Everyone starts off with 100% respect and then how much respect I give you in the future depends on your actions. ETHICS IN THE WORKPLACE My upbringing and personal experiences are what shaped my character of who I am today. I cannot compare the inequality I faced to others, but it was enough for me to realize that fair treatment and respect is very important to who I am and my character. When I see others being mistreated I have a deep seated urge to stand beside them and show them they are not alone. It does not matter to me if I am the only one that feels this way; I will stand up for what I believe in. I was the only straight male that joined…

From past experiences I have learned the real meaning of respect. This word is more powerful than one can imagine. With respect comes unselfishness. When people respect others, they are treated equally. My mother and father always told me to be tactful in the way I treated others, so I would also be respected. It has worked in the past and will always hold true in the future. If someone respects another with proper judgment, people feel good inside which gives them a sense of integrity. When I give respect and witness how it makes others feel, I feel like more of a person. I feel proud. Honored.…

In her book “Respect”, Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot probes an important element of all human relationships and provides personal stories of professionals who approach their work respectfully and pragmatically. A great example of treating people with respect is bullying. Bullying happens all the time at all times of the day. People bully people in school, on the internet, and even at home. Sometimes the bully has the motive to hurt people and break someone else down because they are hurting on the inside themselves. The way they express themselves is the wrong way to do it, but it happens. I remember in school, they always said that a bully becomes a bully when they, themselves had been bullied. It is a serious matter these days because people hurt themselves for being bullied. That goes back to my point where I said that it could impact someone life.…

Respect is not fear, it is admiration and understanding and accepting the rights of someone else who may have different beliefs. It was what keeps us polite and curtious towards one another. Respect should be earned, not demanded. You can’t disrespect someone and then expect them to have respect for you, respect is a two way street.
