Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), a Spanish artist, is one of the most well known artists of the 20th Century. From about 1909 he worked with a French artist called Georges Braque and together they created a style of art referred to as Synthetic Cubism. Both artists created still-life paintings to which other materials were added.
