How To Deal With Homelessness In The United States

In the United States of America, there is and has been a problem of not having enough houses for families. Also, In some areas there are places where some houses or living quarters are just way too expensive for the low average to low income families. In this paper I will be talking to you about the problem, what causes this problem, and what the solution to it would or could be. Capps said (2015), “From Portland, Oregon, to Portland, Maine. From Jacksonville to Juneau. No matter where you look, there isn’t enough affordable housing.” (P.1) According to Johnson (2015), “More than 500,000 people - a quarter of them children - were homeless in the United States this year…” (P.1). This means in 2015 alone, there was that many people homeless. This has not been the only problem with homelessness, according to Capps (2015), “In 2013, just 28 of every 100
First of all, we can start by building houses that more people can afford. On the other hand, we also can make wages higher in the United States but that only causes inflation and other problems for more than just the homeless. But in my opinion to solve this problem once and for all we can just not be stupid with our money. Most people that are one the streets were stupid with their money and caused them to go into debt and get their house foreclosed on making them homeless. Finally, the housing problem and the amount of homeless in the US is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. Many things can cause this problem and with such a huge failure area many people can fall into it and add to the number of homeless people that is slowly rising in this country. To conclude the amount of houses to people ratio in the united states is bad, and the amount of homeless people there is, is huge.
