Each ruler in Rome wanted to build one of the biggest monuments so they could be remembered as one of the best emperors. Some of the greatest Buildings in Rome were Trajan’s Forum, Pantheon, Colosseum, Aqueducts, Baths of Caracalla, Roman Roads, and the Circus Maximus. All of these buildings were special because they are still recognized today as great buildings in Rome. The Greatest building in Rome ever, was the Pantheon.
The Great monuments in Rome couldn’t build themselves, so the emperors forced slaves and lower classmen to build them. They forced the people to work everyday until the monuments were built. Also, the Ruler who decided to build the monument would have an architect help design and make the Monuments. Even though the rulers didn’t do as much, they always got the credit for the Architecture and the monuments even though they just payed for it.
These are some of the reason why I believe that Romans are one of the greatest architects in the world. They build quickly, with little material, many workers, but they build huge monuments. The Greeks were great builders, but the Romans beat them by a lot because they have great style to their
