How Is Isaiah Similar To Jesus
Isaiah is similar to Jesus in the way Isaiah preached God’s word like the way Jesus did. God asked that everyone believed in Him and that he was the creator of Earth. However, some people didn’t believe so like Jesus, Isaiah told stories to all different people and communities to make them try and believe in God.
Isaiah and Jesus both performed wonderful miracles. Isaiah sent a blind man from birth to the river to wash and his sight was restored by Isaiah. Jesus also healed a man who was born blind and Jesus spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. He said “go wash in the Pool of Siloam”. So the man went and washed, and his sight was restored. Isaiah By his prayer drew out from beneath Mount Sion a spring of water, which was called Siloam, sent from God. Jesus turned water to

Isaiah predicted in 732BC that the Medo-Persian Empire will defeat Babylon and that Babylon would become a wasteland. This was fulfilled in 538 BC when the Medes took over Babylon and 275 BC when the Seleucids forced all of the citizens to leave. Jesus predicted in 30AD that his disciples will be persecuted and hated by a majority of people on earth because they follow him. Fulfilled in the 1st century AD to present ever since the gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached, millions of true Christians worldwide have been mistreated or killed for the faith.
“I am God, and there is none like me. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” (Isaiah 46:10-11).
Like Jesus died for what he believed in by being hung on the cross against his will. Isaiah was also martyred, he died by sawing which means he was sawed in half as a living person. St. Paul mentions Isaiah when telling of the deeds of the Jewish Saints before the incarnation who performed amazing adventures because of their

Turning Water into Wine: This miracle was performed at the wedding at Cana. The mother of Jesus informed him that there was no more wine, and Jesus response was "Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come." His mother spoke to the servants and said "whatsoever he saith unto you, do it." There were six waterpots of stone that the Jews used for purifying, and Jesus spoke to the servants and instructed them to fill the waterpots with water. Jesus…

Jeremiah is the prophet of the old testament that I choose. He lived in the southern Kingdom of Judah and was alive about 600 BC before Jesus was born. He spread the message that all people were equal and that the people of Israel should worship God and never worship strange gods. He tried to explain to them that God loved them and would protect them, but the people of Israel didn’t listen. He continued preaching the word of God and telling people that God was good in all ways.…

There is also the mention of a dead fish, which the soldiers in Alexander's troupe brought for their meal which, when touched by the waters, got back to life. The soldiers also picked up some stones in the darkness which they later on found to be precious. Herculean myth resembles Jesus in many areas. The mortal and chaste Alcmene, the mother of Hercules, gave birth to him from a union with God (Zeus). Similar to Herod who wanted to kill Jesus, Hera wanted to kill Hercules. Like Jesus, Hercules traveled the earth as a mortal helping mankind and performed miraculous deeds. Similar to Jesus who died and rose to heaven, Hercules died, rose to Mt. Olympus and became a god. Hercules gives example of perhaps the most popular hero in Ancient Greece and Rome. They believed that he actually lived, told stories about him, worshiped him, and dedicated temples to him. Likewise the "evidence" of Hercules closely parallels that of Jesus. We have historical people like Hesiod and Plato who mention Hercules in their writings.…

Salvation in the book of Isaiah comes in many forms. Salvation is referenced in deliverance, in this case from the Assyrians. Also, salvation is personal (“my salvation,” 12:2; “the Lord will save me,”38:20). “Since Isaiah’s idea of salvation connected with the concepts of redemption, deliverance, righteousness, and justice, it is necessary to take up these ideas also to get a complete picture of what the prophet meant by the words “save”, “savior”, and “salvation” (Old Testament Survey pg 384).…

Jesus and Moses are two influential figures in the teachings of Christianity. They each were chosen by God to lead His people. Moses led the Israelites into the promised land and Jesus showed His people the way of eternal life through salvation. Each of their lives were filled with miracles that helped give the message of God that they were trying to portray. Jesus preached to the people of God using parables and miraculous events. Unlike Moses, who wrote the laws of God down on the Ten Commandments, Jesus spoke to the people orally. It was not until after his death on the cross when his teachings were documented. Although the men never met, there are many similarities and differences in their lives and teachings.…

Introduction, The richness of the truth about the Bible when we read is always embedded in the literary forms and genres that the authors used in the Bible. Chapter 40 of the book of Isaiah somehow opens with a three-repeated call for messengers to receive the news of the God’s coming to a broken and despairing nation. Moreover, the chapter lays some foundation of hope in the nation that has been heard in Israel from the beginning of its life. Also the chapter in a greater sense challenges the power of the nations that seems to make the fulfillment of God’s promises impossible.…
