The Industrial Era took place between the 18th and 19th century in rural locations in Europe and America. It started in Britain when inventions such as the steam engine and cotton gin. Before the era started, most manufacturing occurred in people’s home, making one product at a time. This now evolved into factories that mass produce with machinery. Iron and textile industries boomed in popularity and income, making money off the public in record speed. This, however, leads to huge monopolies and failing of businesses. This changed history from being simple farmers into huge industrialists. Before the 1700s and before the Industrial Era even begun, simplest products were made and by simple farmers and women. The products they made, for example, soaps and candles, were made quite easily and done by hand or simple machines. They were then traded for food or other products.
