How Did Slavery Affect The Rise Of African American Culture

According to("African-American culture", 2016) peoples views and drawings African American culture came about as a result of slave trade. Africans enslaved to American countries even before the process of colonization had to change their culture in order for them to fit in. Slave trade was deeply rooted to West and Central Africa. Slavery did restrict slaves from practicing their traditions in foreign land since they did not have the freedom to chose what was best for them.
Language happened to be such a major barrier in that most of the slaves deported to English speaking countries faced such challenges. Time to time most were allowed to speak in their languages. As time went by,Africans did mingle with Americans in giving rise to African

Religious practices like Christianity was taught to them though only a few of them remained to be Muslims. After colonization the African American culture became popular and wide spread. Formation of peaceful movements that did advocate for the right of Americans emerged,Equality despite the skin color since they were considered as blacks who were seen as inferiors. African Americans have benefited as a result of the civil rights era where their grievances were represented in order to gain equality over natives. Poverty level has gone down with African Americans joining the middle class. Facts and figures state that 45% of them have owned homes compared to the 67% of all the Americans. In relation to owning property,African American men were ranked as third in earnings with most earning-average of $50000 plus. A relative 25% of them work in office and management related fields. Life expectancy level are average as per ("African Americans", 2016) since Africa America men and woman have an expectancy of 70.8 years and 77,5 years respectively. Compared to the whites with a life expectancy of of 46.3 years blacks have a higher expectancy though a big number of them are affected by obesity,diabetes as compared to Europeans as per facts and figures from the year
