America changed socially in so many ways. On of the ways America changed socially was during the civil war. The civil war was a war that was fought to end slavery. When slavery ended many slaves were still slaves and they still had no right to vote. Another major social change was the women's rights. Some of the rights that change for a woman was education, and voting rights.
