America has changed in many ways overtime. America use to be very religous, and Christian life styles were a big part of people. Also African Americans were treated horrible by White people. At this time there was still racial segregation. Women's lifestyle has also changed very much. Women did not have much freedom at the time. During the time the laws favored white men. Women's rights have changed dramatically overtime. During this time women had no political rights. They were not given the right to vote, also women had the same job as men but women made less money. Also they weren't allowed to own property. For instance The Decleration of Independence" stated "that all men are created equal", which completely ignored women and basically said they have no rights. During this time the United States became a powerful nation with the strong national government. Also women were trying to fight for equality. Racial Segregation was a huge problem. African Americans struggled for economic equality. African Americans were treated horribly during this time, they had to work in horrible working conditions and get beaten by there masters and they got nothing out of it.
