House Moving
This topic reminds me of an experience of moving house taking place 13 years ago when I was to enter the primary school. It happened that the headquarter of my father’s company was relocated; so he had to change the working place from the small city we lived to the provincial city Jinan. It was a long-distance moving, so we borrowed a van from the relative. We took most of the furniture we could carry and left some big ones like the bed and wardrobe. It was quite unforgettable experience to me, because that’s the first time I left the flat we lived fornearly 7 years. One day later, we settled down in a more spacious flat with 2 bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchen and a beautiful balcony with French windows. I went to a famous primary school with good teaching quality and fame. Currently, my parents and I still live there. That was the only time of house moving I experienced, but it changed my life thoroughly.

I started school and things werent that bad, I made friends and had a park right across the street from my house! life was good. But then we had to move again, to Arizona. We moved from sea side California to the Arizona Dessart. This is where I was really challanged, I didnt make friends as easy as the first move. We moved from a spacious town house with a park to a tiny appartment with no backyard. I distanced myself from my parents and everyone else in my family, I…

Having to pack up all of your house is a big task, depending on how many people live with you can make this task much harder. While packing you have to go through all of your things and decide if you want those items or not. Donating things is a very nice thing to do but you have to know the difference between trash and things that others can use. Transportation can be a hard thing to find unless you want to spend a lot of money on a moving truck, always have a person ready to help like your family members or friends. It is very irritating to unpack everything into a new house after you already packed all of it because you feel like you did all of that work for nothing. One perk was that we were only less than a mile away from school so we could walk to it.After deciding on our house we made the long haul up to the house we were currently living in which was a two level red house with two rooms but a couple extra one for office space and play rooms. We had to start packing because we would move there in a couple months. We pack every day taking breaks every now and then and we were loading up the moving van with the big stuff that needed to go down to IL first. We had some help loading by my dad's boss Greg and some of my other family members but on the day we were working it started to rain. It rained really hard and even hailed and we had to cover up our items with tarps and while moving the couch my dad leg got hurt which was bad. After the storm we finished packing up and made the trip down to Illinois.Once we got to our new house we started to unpack the two trucks with our stuff. It was a little sad to see that some of our glass mirrors and other stuff broke but in the end most of our stuff made…

I still couldn't believe we moved out Dallas into San Antonio. It would still take some time for me to process this astonishing change in my life. Now and then I would dwell on the memories I had with my friends in Dallas. I'd never moved to any place before I was accustomed to being in the same old place, seeing the same people, and doing the same old thing. Moving to San Antonio was one of the biggest I had as an eleven-year-old. Once we had unloaded everything from the U-Haul truck, I was very exhausted. Moving was a tiring job, we couldn't afford to hire movers, so we all had to help with moving everything into the new apartment. I always tried to carry the heaviest things because I still wanted to prove to my mom and sister that I was the man of the…

When I was about eight years old I found out we were moving. The walls seemed to have come crashing in. What? Moving? I remember being devastated beyond repair, knowing that our yard and our neighborhood that I loved so dearly didn’t have a spot in my future. Secretly excited about the new place, I couldn’t wait to move in. A few months of packing and storing went by and we moved into the new house. An apartment?…

The memory of my first big move is still fresh in my mind. I remember rushing to school, excited to tell my friends the news: I was moving from New Jersey to Phoenix, Arizona! After I brought my friends up to date, I proudly displayed my new disposable camera. Together we took many pictures, some of them meaningful and some comical. There were pictures of myself smiling and giggling with my friends and some of my teacher’s feet. As the moving date was slowly approaching, I began to feel resentment. I started hating the idea of moving to a new unknown place where I would have no friends. As it turned out, making new friends was not as hard as I thought because I was younger and I chose my friends superficially. However, I did have to learn to adapt to a new school and curriculum. I was not…

I was just ten when my parents told me that my dad got a new job and that we had to move from New York to Georgia. At that moment millions of thoughts rushed into my mind. I didn't want to move. I had a lot of friends and family here, I was on a little league team, everything is great here, and I didn't like the idea of leaving that all behind. I didn't even know where Georgia was. But I knew I had no choice, so that last day of school I said my goodbyes to my friends and teachers with sadness in my heart, knowing I wouldn't see them again next year. I got home, packed everything, and closed the door of the empty house. We drove thirteen hours to our new home. During those thirteen hours of sleeping and staring out the window, a mix of sadness…
