A functioning hive is never at rest. A common colony is made of three distinct types of bees: a queen, worker, and drone. A queen has the one important task of laying eggs all her life to maintain the population of the hive. Female workers devote their whole life to upholding all the needs of the colony and will die trying. A worker's task will range from gathering food, making honey, raising the young, and taking care of the queen. On the other hand, a drone has no care for the betterment of the colony. The drones will only mate with a queen and are eventually kicked out once they become extra baggage. The honey bee is continuously working year around to make honey and please their queen. An operational colony is an important environmental and economic aid.
Honey bees’ amazing capability to pollinate is tagged with major benefits. The perseverance of the keystone species balances the critical ecological relationship. As a species alone, bees are responsible for pollinating ⅙ of the flowering plant species. Agriculturally, they provide about 400 types of plants (Tucker, 2014). These plants are heavily relied on by a variety of organisms. Without bees then the amount of food readily available will plummet, taking many species of plants and animals to their
