For example, nobody on my dad’s side of the family is illegal. In fact, each and everyone on that side of the family is an American Citizen, who all went through the process to receive legal permission to be in the United States. Moreover, many of Hispanics are seasonal immigrant workers who obtained work Visas. They come to work and then go back to their country taking what they rightfully earned. Also, others proceed through the proper channels in order to live and work in the United States permanently. Then of course, there are Hispanics who are natural born American citizens, which includes me of those many. A major statistic, that proves that not all Hispanics are illegal, is that 27.3 Million are eligible to vote. It is a stereotype that shouldn’t exist. The only reason the stereotype exists is due to the reason of the mass, illegal immigrants crossing the border throughout the years. This stereotype only benefits politicians and citizens, who are against Hispanic immigrants and like to make racist remarks against them. For every race, skin color varies; moreover, not one skin color just belongs to a race. For example, many of my Hispanic friends skin colors vary from brown skinned to a lighter skin tone. Moreover, it’s not just my friends; nonetheless, many other Hispanics in the United States and in their respective countries. Just because a person has a brown skin doesn’t doesn’t make them automatically Hispanic; furthermore, not everyone who has white skin is white.
