Health Education Goals
Health education / health promotion are very important aspects of health for individuals and the community. They are defined as a process of combining learning experiences to advance individual and community knowledge about health in order to improve overall health. Being a professional in this field means that it is their responsibility to spread awareness of health-related education. A professional in this field must find ways to education and promote health throughout the community in the most effective way possible. There are various goals I have set for myself and my profession. Going into occupational therapy my goal is to provide a therapeutic service to those in need. I hope to improve functional, mental, and emotional states of my clients. For those who struggle in specific areas of health, I hope to be able to help them improve, gain, or regain their independence and reach success. Professional responsibilities have developed in myself, my community, and my profession. For myself, there are several professional responsibilities I have set. By educating the community on the different aspects of health, more people become aware of what they must do to stay healthy. In order to be physically healthy, the community should provide ways to get people physically and mentally active. There should be ways for everyone to have an opportunity to spend time with others in the community to improve their cognitive or physical state. By spending time with others, people also improve their social health. Educating the community on health helps people learn more about how to be healthy while also leading people to starting new ways to actually become healthy. It allows others to build a sense of belonging and positive social network. It gives people the opportunity to better themselves and to live healthier and happier
