Head injuries can happen at any point in life, even more so in football and with the federal government looking into major head injuries such as concussions, like they did with Steroids in baseball a decade or so ago. The game has come into question with these types of injuries, if combat sports are putting people in harm’s way and if they are. The main difference now with former players and athletes and how they dealt with concussions, the more research now with head injuries that are leading to more and more players get introduced to this problem. Along with the biggest story about how the NFL was accused of knowing about the head injuries and them just flat out ignoring it, and what the former players who sued got from the league and their …show more content…
This was a very serious shock to the WWE and a lapse clean cut and stellar human life to that point, meanwhile Julian Blate who studied and did tests to his brain, said it looked like the brain of an 85 year old alzheimer's patient. As stated in a medical journal developed by a Rhode Island medical journal, these head injuries are now being looked at closer. The statistics from the article say that they’re over 100,000 reported concussion cases in student athletes ranging from high school to college football, along with a lengthy paragraph stating what the outcomes happen due to the effects of a concussion.
