Hayao Miyazaki: An Influential Part Of My Career
Hayao Miyazaki is a very influential part of my choice of my career, having seen so many of his movies as a child and now still watching them, it has done nothing but continue to fuel my love of animation. He began to work as an animator at studio Toei Douga in 1963, grabbing everyone's attention with his amazing art works and ideas. In 1973 after transferring to Nippon Animation, there he was able to bring about some classics such as: Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro (1979) and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984). The success of the film (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984)) brought him to a place in his life where he was able to start his very own animation studio; Studio Ghibli.
All this success from Hayao Miyazaki honing his natural ability of art and embracing all the strange ideas he has had for beautiful movies has brought me lots of hope for when I am feeling like all I turn out is chicken scratch. His efforts have never been fruitless in making everyone, including people who do not watch Anime, enjoy his movies.

Ponyo is a sweet little protagonist in this movie, her and her human friend Sosuke are what keep the film light-hearted - as well as all of the bright hues and values. Ponyo is adorned in red, still symbolic of the primary status we discussed earlier, but temperature is a cooler red to help bring harmony with the cool tones of the ocean and background scenery, and a softer more childish image to her personality. The very flow of the lines drawn create a lot of dynamic movement, which I believe to be one of Hayao Miyazaki's greatest skills. The tousled look of the characters hair and the wide eyed look in their eyes express the many emotions, awestruck and wonder are two of them that come to

Pony’s realization stems from a comment Johnny makes after reading a passage from Gone with the Wind, in which he says that Dally reminds him of one of the gallant Southern gentlemen from the Civil War. The fact that Dally is too “real” for Ponyboy reveals something about his narrative perspective. He says earlier that the other greasers—Soda, Darry, and Two-Bit—remind him more of the heroes in his books than Dally does. Ponyboy feels more comfortable with Soda, Darry, and Two-Bit because as a narrator, and later a writer, he is more comfortable with fictional heroes than with real people like Dally who have lost their…

Ponyboy is often segregated based on how he dresses. Many people will assume that he is a bad kid, and has no potential. Hayao Miyazaki is the first animation designer who represents the humanitarianism to animation (Cavallaro, 2015). His humanistic films include lots of themes such as environmental protection, youth growing, anti-war, feminism and so on. Those different items are showing Hayao Miyazaki's deep concern about the universe and life. His thinking is so distinctive because of his profound concern themes in the films. Also, this is why the audiences love his movie. Besides, the theme is the soul and core of the animation film and his themes are not only related to our daily life but also consider some significant social issues(Rustin and Rustin, 2012). What is interesting is that although the themes change in his films, the environmentalism…

The last film Disney himself worked on was 'Winnie the pooh and the blustery day'.The company of Disney today is split into many different divisions with the one probably most influenced by Walt Disney himself is the Walt Disney animation studios. This division is located in Burbank California. From 1966 until 1984 there was a severe decline in the popularity of Disney films. It wasn’t until Michael Eisner took over the restructuring the Disney returned into prominence an eventually led what now is called Disney Renaissance in1989.The Disney Renaissance is easily identifiable by many of the most cherished films such as 'Beauty in the Beast','Little Mermaid and The Lion Ling'. These films will go on to create legacy of excellence in Walt Disney studios to live up to. They achieved status in the industry rarely seen in animation studios and set the new bar to the excellence in story, animation and overall production design. The films during the Disney Renaissance acquired many awards from different institutions including many best picture…

He first had to run away because they had killed a Soc and now he lost his best friend who weren’t like the rest and can understand how Pony felt. “ I half convinced myself that I had dreamed everything that had happened the night before. I’m really home in bed, I thought ” (Pg. 68), and “Johnny was dead. But he wasn’t.” (Pg. 150). Both these quotes prove that Pony is trying to convince himself to believe that he is still home after they had kill Bob and had gone to Windrixville, and after Johnny had died in the hospital after the rumble, that he was still alive smoking in the lot or something. By the end of the book his struggle to believe the truth is resolved. This is a big conflict because he is the main character and that is fighting with his own decisions and isn't able to handle the truth so he twist them around so he won’t feel depressed, or lonely.…

If we don't have each other, we don’t have anything.” (176). This is important because ponyboy and his friends are like family, and have to stick together. This is also important because it shows the value of their friendship and the importance of them being together. "Johnny was something more than a buddy to all of us. I guess he had listened to more beefs and more problems from more people than any of us. A guy that'll really listen to you, listen and care about what you're saying,…

Hinton, Ponyboy transforms his feelings towards Dally beginning with fear and dislike to caring for him as a good friend. Imagine Dally as a hallway, with millions of different doors each representing his emotions, some that open with the lightest touch, and other that seem to be locked forever. And the only key to opening them are the things that are most important to him or much above anything else he cares about in the life that he lived through; Johnny, Ponyboy, and the rest of the gang. Ponyboy learned much from his experiences with Dally. He saw that maybe even the menacing, hatred-for-the-world, dangerous people, may have something inside them that opposes to all the appearances on the outside. At the conclusion of the book, Ponyboy realizes all this and knows that Dally wasn’t the only one out there with this type of personality. “I could see boys going down under street lights because they were mean and tough and hated the world, and it was too late to tell them that there was still good in it, and they wouldn’t believe you even if you did… It was too vast of a problem to be just a personal thing.” (179) Kids, teens, and, even adults have their own appearance on the outside with a completely different personality on the inside. It's what makes them who they are. Yet, people judge them because of their appearance, not how they are as a…
