Han Dynasty

The Han Dynasty attitude towards technology is positive and negative feelings towards society even though Rome expressed the same feelings. These 8 documents can help prove and provide evidence for my thesis. In (doc 1) and (doc 4) explain how the Han Dynasty used water for positive things. In (doc 2) and (doc 3) explain the negative perceptions, which are how tools of the first century B.C.E were good enough to use but were neutrally valued, but overtime the quality of the item decreased. In (doc 1) and (doc 4) explain how they used water for helpful things that helps the society and the civilization. Additionally, it conveys how water also can negatively impact the Han Dynasty since the dikes are provided with strong rivers, canals, and pools that can destroy the dam. The Han government official order to have inspections in the waterways to keep it maintained and well. In (doc 4) it portrays how Tushih was a great governor of Nan yang that invented a water- powered blowing- engine. This invention was helpful for the casting of iron agricultural implements that allowed people to enjoy great benefit for little labor. His invention was a great impact for society since it has been widely adopted and used. In China, first century the tools workers used were in good condition since they had time to create the tools. Their tools were manufactured by individual families which were well made. But overtime tools were not being made efficiently since there was a lack of time. Additionally, tools were stopped being made by individual families but were made by the state using convict labor.
