Gymnastics Gymnastics Research Paper
Gymnastics is a sport that has 4 apparatus Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor and Balance Beam. In this essay I will have three main topics. The first one is gymnastics events where I talk about all 4 apparatus of gymnastics. The second topic is the three main types of gymnastics. Rhythmic, Artistic, and Acrobatic. The final topic is the history of gymnastics. Gymnastics has been a sport for 4,000 years, but has been an Olympic sport for 32 years.

The first apparatus I will be talking about is vault. In vaulting events, gymnast sprint down a 25 meter (82ft) runway, jump on to a springboard and land momentarily on the vaulting table, then are propelled forward, landing in a certain area. The second apparatus is balance beam. On balance beam a

I will be talking about artistic gymnastics first. Artistic gymnastics is probably the most common type of gymnastics. As you already know artistic gymnastics as four apparatus. Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor and Balance Beam. The gymnast perform a short timed routine ranging approximately 30 to 90 seconds on different apparatus, with less time for vaulting. The next type of gymnastics I will be talking about is a Rhythmic gymnastics. Rhythmic gymnastics is also an Olympic sport. There have been only about 30 Olympic games for rhythmic gymnastics. Rhythmic gymnastics have 5 apparatus. Rope, Hoop, Ball, Cubs, Ribbon, and freehand(no apparatus). Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and apparatus manipulation. The third and final type of gymnastics I will be talking about is Acrobatic gymnastics. Acrobatic gymnasts perform in pairs or groups. There are three types of routines, a balance routine where the focus is on strength and flexibility; a dynamic routine which includes throws , somersaults and catches, and at(FIG level 6 and above) a combined routine which includes elements from both balance an

    What is athletic training? Athletic training is the concern of the well being of the athlete and generally assumes the responsibility for overseeing the total health care for the athlete. This basically states that an athletic trainer's job is to be there for the athlete whether he/she is injured or not, and to practice the prevention of injury.
