Because right now anyone in the world can buy a gun from any store. I don't think anyone should have a gun because i think all guns are dangerous. Guns are only meant for one thing and that is killing people. Amanda Marcotte at Rolling stone says that for those of us who are more worried about preventing unnecessary deaths than merely acknowledging the hate that resides in some people's hearts, however, the sheer amount of damage a gun can do is reason to limit who can get their hands on one. It is said that 30000 people have died do to gun control. And that's enough to

Gun violence dates back many years, around the time gun powder was first being produced in the 13th century. The first handgun was created in 1364 and was named the “hand cannon” (Hallowell 1), the name was self-explanatory. Nowadays hand guns are being produced that are smaller than the average persons’ palm, which is named the Swiss mini guns, these guns are being banned due to their extreme concealment capabilities. Guns revolutionized the world and brought high praises, until citizens started seeing the bad side of the guns. The fact that something so small can be so deadly can be frightening to people. Of course, I can see why people would not want guns to be banned since the constitution even allows the citizens to own a weapon. Just…

Gun control is one of the most debatable topics in present day. Gun control refers to laws or policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms. These firearms include handguns, machine guns, rifles etc. People use these weapons for multiple reasons. Some use it for sport, for example: hunting or practicing at the gun range. Others buy it for protection while others use it for violence. Having a firearm requires responsibility. The person that wields a gun is responsible for his safety or others. They are also responsible for using a weapon against someone. According to procon.org, ''The United States has 88.8 guns per 100 people, or about 270,000,000 guns, which is the highest total and…

II. Gun Control simply wouldn’t be a good idea and is not the answer to this ongoing problem. Our right to bear arms should not be taken away. The only thing this would accomplish is taking away the right and protection for those who do make good choices. Criminals have and will find other ways to commit their crimes. So, I hope that the next time the gun control debate comes up; you will take a stand and be able to voice why gun control will not work.…

Imagine you are enjoying lunch at school, you're by your friends talking about how your day is going. It is as normal as any day at school, but little do you know that it would soon become the scariest day of your life. Just five short minutes before you are dismissed to fourth hour you hear two loud booms echo across the cafeteria. Everyone looks at eachother, confusion covering their face like a thick blanket. More books are sounded, and everyone soon realizes that the sounds are indeed gunshots. Everyone scatters, and soon, an announcement is sounded. “Attention all teachers, we are now in lockdown mode, I repeat, we are now in lockdown mode.” Students run through the hallways, desperately trying to find an exit. Students run into the gym. Students run outside into the cold air. You hear the gunshots booming behind you as you run; you hear blazing sirens approaching from the street. Soon, everyone is evacuated and the police take down the shooter, but the amount of people hurt is still unknown. Gun laws should be stricter because guns can be easily accessible, they can be dangerous, and violence can be easily prevented.…

There is a old saying that guns dont kill people, people kill people. This is a known saying that comes out all the time when this conversation pops up.The media portrays gun control in a positive light, they believe that this is something that would work; I believe that gun control will never work and giving people guns to protect themselves and taking guns from people the public judges or deems unfit is a terrible idea. It is unsafe, and also endangering people's lives and is unfair, plus it is going against the second amendment which many have died to protect.…

Tacoma, the city I grew up in, was a nice and peaceful place until recently, the last couple of months before 2015 ended, was covered in news of mad mass shootings. Young lives were taken away, leaving only wounded hearts, sadness, and the question: What has gone wrong with society? Mass shootings have always been an issue. Studies show that mass shootings and gun ownerships have a direct relationship, that means, the more guns people own, the more likely for us to experience these incidents. Studies also show that the United States had nearly double the number of mass shootings than most of the developed countries combined.…

Gun control has sparked quite a controversy over the years. Some people believe that having strict gun control is the only way to fix the problems. While others, including myself, believe it is more a problem with the person that is behind the trigger. There has been laws about gun control as early as 1934. as citizens, we need to ask ourselves if having gun control will solve all the issues at hand. With both arguments, there is facts to support. I believe that gun control will not have the ability to make all the problems go away, there needs to be more done.…

Gun control is one of the hot topics in today's political standings. The liberal point of view hates guns, while most conservatives like them. Most people who have negative opinions on gun’s are the people who have never used a gun in their life. All they know is people can die if they are shot. Realistically, what happens when violence is taking place? Someone with a gun is called. Gun control should not be enacted because it takes away a sense of security, most guns used in a crime are bought illegally anyway, and America was built on gun rights.…

The mom was died their dad arrested and the children were sent to the foster home. God knows how many families experience this kinds of situation or worse than that. All of those bad things happened in a second because they had gun at home. Gun Control is a huge issue in the United States. It was declared in our constitution in the 2nd amendment that we have the right to bear arms. Every person is entitled through the second amendment to legally own and use fire arms. There are many issues that have come up with gun control: conceal and carry, semi-automatic weapons, and gang violence. Many people in this beautiful country we call the United States, feel like they need to take away the right to bear arms. To me I believe this is wrong. I believe you should be able to legally own and operate a weapon in a safe and secure manner. Anyone that is a law abiding citizen should be able to own a firearm.…

Do people want their children to grow up in an unsafe world? The world that their children will grow up in will not be safe at all. This is because assault weapons can be placed in the hand of mentally unstable people. Their children could be in school one day and a school shooting may happen and their child could possibly die. People could be walking around in a store and somebody with an assault weapon could come in and kill a ton of those people. That can all be changed by putting a ban on assault weapons. Assault weapons should be banned in the United States.…
