Groupthink's Effect On Discussion In Groups

What effect has Groupthink had on discussion in groups and teams in your experience.
For politeness sake, I will avoid naming the location and people involved in this. The worst cause of groupthink I have been in was when I went to church summer camp. I was not, and still not, an outdoorsy person. I loved air conditioning, I loved my books, and I loved my privacy. I was stuck in a room with five other girls, all older than me. These girls were clearly close friends. Since I had no friends at camp; I blindly followed these girls for the three weeks we were there. Our leader was “Jane” she was a very commanding young woman. We would follow the schedule the camp had for us but after hours was Jane’s time to shine. I wouldn’t have minded Jane
