Graduating High School
As we make it through our sophmore year of high school, soon to be juniors, we should all be thinking and making plans as to what we will do whenever we graduate from high school. The most important things that you will need to decide about are where you will enroll in college, what career you will go into, and where your permanent residence will be. I am planning to enroll at Francis Marion University, to persue my Bachelor's degree in nursing. My permanent residence will be in Florence, South Carolina. There are many great colleges that I could have chosen to attend. I have chose Francis Marion University for many reasons. Francis Marion is located in Florence, South Carolina, which is not very far from home for me. I could live at home, instead of living on campus because of it being so close. I think that I would like that a lot more. I really don't think that the weather at Francis Marion would be much different than what I am used to. The weather varies from hot during the summer to a very mild winter. The weather does not really affect the campus experience though. Francis Marion has a total of 3,864 students. 3,126 are full-time students, and the other 738 are part-time students. The in-state tuition is a total of $7,038.00. The out-of-state tuition is $13,841.00. The Admission requirements in order to enroll include, a high school diploma, completion of all required preparatory courses, and acceptable scores on the SAT or ACT. You will also need to have at least an average high school GPA of 3.55. I would like to major in Registered nursing. I would like to persue my Bachelor's degree in nursing first, and then possibly enroll for another two years to recieve my Master's degree. The career that I plan to go into is nursing. I really think that is the perfect choice as a career for me because I love to help people that are in need. Nursing is a great career to go into.
