Grade 11-Personal Narrative
“Aren’t you excited to be a senior now that you're finally in Grade 11?” my mother asks with a worried look, as she puts her small cappuccino on the kitchen table.
“Yeah, I guess I am quite pumped being a senior now at my new school,” I answered
“Don't worry, dear. You will be fine today,” she says with a warm smile. “My advice for you is to be yourself.”
“I am a shy, boring person, mom. I just don't relate to other people.” I stated. “I am only interested is blending in with the crowd, acing all my classes and singing.
“No one's going to like me!” I stated, while looking at the kitchen window. The weather looked really nice out today on a September morning. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. Compared to the rainy weather I am so used to in my hometown, rainy Vancouver.
“Just think positive, and besides, your girlfriend, Adeline will be there to help you around the school,” she says cheerfully.

Looking at the gray, rectangular 2 story, building, I see students smiling and laughing with their group of friends. A group of people that caught my eye was standing in a circle near the entrance of the school, wearing black leather jackets that says “Black Roses” in small bright red letters, on the back of their jackets. Maybe they are part of a club, I thought to myself. A boy with strawberry blonde hair from the group catches me staring and he smiles at me. I was caught by surprise, but I smiled back anyways. Taking a deep breath I enter the main doors of the school. I see the front office and I ask the secretary for my schedule. She gives me my schedule and other essentials as well. While I was looking for my homeroom, someone taps me on the shoulder. Turning around, I see Adeline smiling at me with her adorable dimples as I tower over her small

I'm six years old, and I'm secretly watching the girls in my class loudly chatting in the corner of the classroom. It's 2008, and I'm quietly sitting on my desk, wondering to myself: "Am I not important enough for a simple goodbye?". I nervously shift on the chair, impatiently waiting for the minutes to tick by. My red sweater is itching against my throat. The teacher came in and we begin class as usual. Ms. Claudia is talking about our final reflections…

Yough Intermediate Middle School, a comical and controlled environment. Waking up everyday to come to school is a nuisance. It worth every second of the day because of the amazing teachers, students, and staff. The curricular activities are as creative as a Picasso painting. The adventures I have gone on in Yough has taken me through life even more. The adventures have been vigorous, inferior, and patchy.…

Crack! The sound of my bat hitting the ball echoed throughout the stadium. Dust went flying everywhere as I took off running towards first base. I dropped my head, concentrating only on putting one foot in front of the other as fast as I possibly could. Everything else seemed like a blur to me. I rounded first base, praying for my feet to move faster. Dust stung my eyes, but I couldn’t stop now.…

It’s a bler, trying to look back on when I was a preschooler, so first grade was a mess. First grade is a life changer. Going to Tri-Point in Piper City not even for a full year. Tri-Point is a small old school just like ROWVA. I remember changing schools because my parents got a divorce. We moved to Peoria and lived there with my mom's parents. I got transferred to a Catholic school. Every Wednesday the whole place went to church right across the street. It was the worst thing ever sitting in the old creepy church listening the Father talk about only “God” knows what. My teacher's name was Mrs. Heartstick, no I did not make the name up. She grossed me out. He hands very dry and cracked, they looked like an old man's hands who had worked his whole…

My writing has changed a lot in my first-semester essay writing class. I finally took a class that teaches me useful information and how to properly write an essay. Essay Writing overall was a fun experience it was a slow start for me in the beginning but once I was able to get the work done I was fine. There were a lot of positives to taking this class. I started the year struggling to come up with ideas to write about nut now I can brainstorm and put my words down on the paper better than ever. “If I could travel anyplace in the world for free, I would want to go to North Korea. I would love to see what it's like.” I struggled with proper punctuation and the use of commas and such throughout my high school career and I still struggle with it I hope to learn more about it in the near future. “Cars are one of the best inventions ever.” I needed some direction on making my sentences longer with getting to the point at the same time. There's a lot of small things I need to still improve on but I feel like I got a good start with the Essay Writing course. I got a lot of useful feedback from Mrs.Pennings on all my essays like when to use certain words and proper punctuation and some compliments the really…

Middle school was really weird time for me. It seemed like it was the most dramatic / drama filled. Our school at St. Peters was messed up, anything that could happen did. I've had teacher come up to me and ask for answers to what happened. Students doing bad things and etc. Also middle school to me was so fun, because people who I like got in trouble because of me. If you weren't my friend at St. Peters you better hope that you weren't mean to me, because if you were the teachers would find out what you did and they get in trouble.…
