Also, annual checkups and scheduled immunizations will benefit a child. It assures the child Is healthy, and less likely to become seriously ill. In addition to health and medical care, a responsible parent must be a good role model for a child. Parents should pay attention to what they say and do around a child, and think of the types of examples they’re making. Children learn vicariously by observing the behavior of others and noting the consequences of their actions. For this reason, parents should model good morals and values. For example, a parent wouldn’t want his or her child to be disrespectful to an elder - that would be inappropriate. Modeling is important, because it is the primary way that children learn the values they will carry through life.
