Class Act has concluded that the full agreement consideration of $5 million should be recorded as revenue upon signing the agreement. I do not think this is appropriate method to recognize revenue. According to FASB, a company would apply the following five steps to achieve the core principle: (1) identify contract with the customer. (2) Identify separate performance obligations. (3) Determine transaction price. (4) Allocate transaction price. (5) Recognize revenue when performance obligation is satisfied. Class Act recognized all $5 million up signing the agreement, how about if the performance of Broadway Venues doesn’t satisfy the agreement. The article shows that the agreement is silent as to whether any payments are refundable if the tour never commences.…

This editorial, written by Margaret Wente, was published through The Globe and Mail newspaper, which is a very credible publication. Wente herself is an editorial writer of the globe and has written a few columns before, and this makes her a somewhat credible author. However, it is noteworthy that this is simply based on her opinion about universities and the new generation’s stress rate; therefore, it decreases the overall credibility of this editorial. Furthermore, the publication date is December, 2012. Although time written is a matter of importance, but for this particular situation, there has not been much differences from three years ago. Wente did not use many facts or credible statistics and quotations in her editorial, except for…

It is easy to flip to the index of an astronomy textbook to discover that, say, the Sun lies 150 million kilometers away from Earth. It is far more difficult (if not impossible), however, to picture this distance in the human mind. In this exercise, we will learn to access the often unpalatable distances encountered in astronomy by simply scaling the huge distances to more recognizable, pedestrian numbers. So long as every distance within the system of interest is scaled by the same factor, we retain the meaningful information about relative distances between objects. This is exactly the same principle employed by map makers so that they can fit Texas, for example, onto a turnable page.…

As I was reading Susan Griffin’s essay I found the structure confusing to some extent. She talks about one thing, compares it with her life and then jumps to another story. In her essay Griffin brings up many topics; cells, rockets, world war two. In a way, reading through Griffin’s essay and understanding it is like solving a puzzle. One piece of the puzzle gives you nothing about the whole picture. Once the pieces are assembled, the picture becomes clear. Griffin, throughout examining others secrets and emotions, she comes to express her own secrets and emotions and know how she became the person she is today.…

Students with High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (HFASD) are increasingly being included in general education classrooms. From 1993-2006 there has been a 244% increase in students with HFASD spending 80% or more of their school day in the inclusive classroom. Inclusion is considered by many parents and professionals as the primary form of treatment or intervention. Inclusion provides the opportunity for students with HFASD to improve social skills and gain independence (Sansosti and Sansosti, 2012). Unfortunately, little research has been done in this area to show conclusive results about inclusion of students with HFASD.…
