Henry views the situation of being ruled by Great Britain as “nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery” (Henry). If slavery is at question, it is without a doubt a major predicament for the colonists and could turn into reality if no action is taken. Therefore, Henry reiterates “We must fight! During her life, Truth “ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head [her]” (Truth) while reiterating “ain’t I a women?” to show that she had done all the things men do. In this situation, Truth faces conflict because she is working just as hard as men but because of the American caste system that places women below men even though women are capable of the same workload as men, she and all other women don’t get the rights they deserve. Truth believes that “if the first woman God ever made was strong enough to turn the world upside down all alone, these women together ought to be able to turn it back” (Truth) and uses that as a call to action to the women in the crowd. Women are at a disadvantage because of a corrupt American caste system and the only way to stop it is to fight against the social oppression in order to be free from this war of inequality. If no action is taken, women will continue to be socially oppressed. Truth plays her role in spreading the word that women deserve the same rights as men in order to end the war that women have been fighting ever since patriarchal societies
