Genesis 1: What Is A Christian Worldview?
What is a Christian worldview? I grew up in a Christian home and spent most of my adolescence convinced that how well I followed the rules determined if I was a good Christian. Many people live this exhausting life of trying to follow the rules, failing, and wondering how it is that we will ever be worthy of the grace we are told we are given. It was not until I learned who God was to me personally that I fully understood, what I believe God’s intentions are towards the Christian worldview. The Christian worldview consists of an understanding of who God is, the nature of humanity, who Jesus is, and restoration.

In Genesis 1 we see that God created the world and everything in it. Since as humans we do not have the ability to create new things that means that everything on the earth, even today, is God’s creation. The first attribute I think of when I think about what God is like is that God is a father. Seeing God as a Father is a very important characteristic to the Christian worldview because it embodies the kind of love that we believe that God has towards and for us. Although we know that Jesus came to cover our sins and that we are free, I believe one of the ways that the enemy attacks people is through works. The bible tells us that we are not saved by our works but through grace (Ephesians 2:8, New Living Translation), but if someone is not finding there worth and strength through their relationship with God there will look for ways to fill themselves and often times it is through works. Our works are supposed to come out of a place of joy and fulfillment from God rather than striving towards meeting a quota of
