Gay Marriage. Why Should It Be Legal?
What would you do if you were not allowed to marry the one you love? How would you feel if you had to live the rest of your life without being allowed to marry the one you love? I believe that gay marriage should be legalized. Gay marriage should be legalized because it is uncivilized. According to the constitution, every American is entitled to happiness. If homosexual people cannot be married to the person they love, it violates their freedoms.
Why should other people be able to choose who marries who? If a man and a woman get married, no one seems to care. They are two people who feel affection for one another and those two people want to start a family, but when a man and a man or a woman and a woman want to get married, it starts an uproar. When will society learn to accept that these two people love each other and just want to be married? This is unfair. Gays should be able to marry each other and not be judged, hated, or segregated.
We already have enough orphans and orphanages. Even if homosexuals cannot repopulate, they can always adopt a child and start a family. Having less unowned children will help society, not ruin it! Imagine all the orphans who only want to find a good home and loving parents. Why would you deprive them of their happiness to?
Gay marriage is also legalized in other states and countries. According to “http://answers.usa.gov”, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maine ,Maryland, New Hampshire,New York, Vermont,and Washington allow gay marriage, why not the other states?
Even though to most people gay marriage should be illegal and should stay in its current state, I believe we need to change the world for future generations.Gay marriage should be legalized for these reasons. Evolution will always continue and at any given point in time, something will occur that we will not like in this world, but we can overcome
