Gary Johnson Persuasive Essay
This Presidential ticket is widely considered the worst in United States history. Many people are criticizing almost everything either candidate does. One one side you have a bigoted racist in Trump. On the other side, and marginally considered the better candidate of the two main parties is an untrustworthy, criminal in Clinton. What other options do you have? None, until you you look at the Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson. I believe that, although unlikely, he has a chance to win. He would be a better president than Trump or Clinton because his stances on economics, immigration, and foreign policy make sense and would improve the U.S security and economy overall. Gary Johnson has strong economic stances on the issues facing the American economy. You can see this in this example, when asked whether Men and Women should be paid equally for the same job. He answered “No, there are too many other variables such as education, experience, and tenure that determine a fair salary” It is important to remember that he is not stating that either Men or Women should be paid less, just that they should be based on education level. Many agree with this because although many …show more content…
His stance is fairly simple: ”We should appreciate and respect the diversity of immigrants that come to the United States to be productive members of society. But we also need to recognize that everyone who comes here is not so well-intentioned.” This is almost in the middle of Trump’s and Hillary’s plans. While Trump doesn't want a lot of immigrants, Hillary wants to bring in upwards of 500,000 Syrian immigrants, Gary Johnson wants us to continue bringing immigrants in from all over the world (as restricting one part of the world is unconstitutional) while not letting attackers, terrorists and others with malicious intent in. This is a fairly simple

Johnson was trying to covey were that education is important in live in order to have a better society and he wanted to do something about the poverty which was one of the main issues at the time, he also quoted, “Poverty must not be a bar to learning, and learning must offer an escape from poverty”. His quote was quite inspirable and he wanted people to take advantage and learn more and more so they can use all that education in life time to get out of poverty. He wanted teachers to be well trained to prepare youth to enjoy their hours of leisure as well as their hours of labor. “We are going to assemble the best thought and the broadest knowledge from all over the world to find those answers for America”. This tells us how fair and worried he was for the country and the people and the best solution for poverty which was associated with knowledge which he was trying to get from all around the world in pieces and gathered all up for future elementary and high school…

And by doing so they would have to face a lot of the issues and policies America has today. The issues of; Education, Terrorism, and immigration. Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton are promising to deal with these issues of immigration, education, and foreign policy. However, based on what was said by both, after comparing and contrasting the two: Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton both want the same thing for education, they want to make it more affordable for students, however when it comes to Immigration Trump wants to get rid of every illegal in a harsh and irrational way. Meanwhile, Clinton wants to just deport the illegals that are a threat to society. And when it comes to terrorism Mr. Trump wants to ban all Muslim people from entering our country because he feels this will end it. While Hilary wants to prevent it with plans that have prevented it in the past. Because of these factors I believe that Hilary Clinton is the best candidate for the presidency because of her rational thinking and calmness, she portrays the best features that the future President should…

In this little bit of her speech, she says that she wants the wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes. It is a sign of the extraordinarily lopsided nature of the presidential race that, even in a Republican-controlled state like North Carolina, Mrs. Clinton is in a position to exhort voters to hand control of the Senate to Democrats. Though she is still not broadly popular, Mrs. Clinton has cast her candidacy — and now, perhaps, her party — as a safe harbor for voters across the political mainstream who find Mr. Trump…

It was interesting to hear Donald Trumps' New York speech, the most confusing and scary part of the speech is when he stated that " this political stuff is hard." What did he expect the role of the President would be. A person who runs the country does not do so easily, there are decision that must be made that requires one to be resilient despite the outcome. I do, however, understand that just as President Obama posed as a model figure to many people both of color and not, President elect Trump posses as the same figure for many Americans. I do not believe that president Trump can fulfill majority of his promises to the American people, my fear lies in the people who believe that they can fulfill those promises for him. Such as segregation of the Mexican people by…

Many would venture to say it is undeniable that Presidential campaigns and elections is something that is never fun. The amount of money, time, effort, and hard work that goes into everything can make things very demanding. In addition, not knowing if you will be victorious makes things even worse. However, presidential elections can be very jaw-dropping; as is the case with our two candidates currently running against each other. Generally, I would venture to say that no one saw this coming. A presidential race between Trump, and Hilary—two individuals that don’t sit to well with the American People. Furthermore, I believe that it has gotten to a point where if Hilary wins, there will be an uproar; and if trump wins there will be an uproar.…

Online, physically, or verbally you can be a victim of being bullied. You don’t have to keep things as they are. The question is how to handle the situation (Do you attack the bully and become the bully yourself? Or do you ignore the bully and pretend all is well?) What you do is speak up and ask for help. I would know, because not only was I a victim, I was also a person who stood by and simply watched it happen.…

Persuasive Essay : Many people would be happy and satisfied if they were in a relationship with money and fame. Doesn't that seem like the perfect life? Everyone begins to think that in life that's all that matters, and that's all they need, nothing could be better. Society dictates our morals, feelings, the way we do things and try's to tell us certain things we do are wrong and we need to do them the way they feel necessary. Our generations to come will have no clue what the meaning of a true, harmonious, happy life. They begin to think that not telling the truth is ok , and eventually get so use to it that even if they could hear the truth they wouldn't want to. It becomes part of their daily life. Clearly our society, or government has their own sneaky, conniving ways to try and brain wash everyone. Due to the problem that most people would rather have love, money, and fame, it's very rare to find some one who doesn't have any of that but is satisfied with only knowing the truth. People look up to celebrities, but they do not set good examples or try to be role models. In proposing a solution to the problem of adhering to the actions of celebrities, the analysis relates to Henry David Thoreau's belief in individuality as he talked about in his book Walden. Who is your hero? Usually the answer to this question, at least for many of us, involves a famous actor or singer, a celebrity. The celebrities of the world are the wealthiest, most beautiful and most stylish individuals to walk upon the planet. These icons, however, seem to have no moral dilemma whatsoever with corrupting the public. They are role models to the public, just as parents are role models to their children. Children mirror the actions of their parents, as does society the actions of celebrities. Suddenly, few people in the world are content because they do not live the same lifestyle as Madonna or Michael Jordan. Henry David Thoreau offers solutions in his work, Walden, to the constant societal…
