Gap analysis is a technique used by businesses to decide the steps that are required to be taken so as an organization can be able to move from its current state to a future desired state. The process involves identifying the current factors of the situation by its characteristics, identifying what is required and what should be done to attain the future desired and stress on the existing gaps that hinder the organization from attaining the desired goals. Gap analysis gives an organization a chance to find out its current state and what it should do to attain its goals in the near future. The following paper seeks to discuss mapping accomplishments and transferable skills of an organization. Activity 4.1 When mapping the accomplishment of a daycare, the owner should consider accomplishments such as improvement of the school surrounding such as buying of new merchandise which can include things such as new beds, mattresses, toys and wall charts for the kids. Such factors can be the one pre teacher the day care has who may not be able to handle a high number of kids but limit the work given. Adding more teachers will increase workload and mean more revenue for the business to handle more growth. Another aspect to be considered for a gap analysis is more room for the day care which would enable further growth in number of the teaches and bring in more business of kids. The missing skills that require implementation will be criticized by the parents who will complain about certain aspects such as the kids who play too much and do not get enough sleep which can be turned into a compliment by taking responsibility and ensuing that the kids sleep at the required time giving the parents confidence in the day
