Friar Laurence In William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet
Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is a story about the power of love and what lengths people will go to for it. Friar Laurence is one character that is a confidant to both Romeo and Juliet. He is involved in a lot of the events in this story. From their falling in love, to their death, he is there through it all. He provides them with advice about their love. However, some may say he is partially at fault for their demise. In one scene, Friar is surprised with how quickly Romeo falls for Juliet. He reminds Romeo that he may need to re-think his decisions before forgetting Rosaline. He strongly cautions him by saying, “Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast”. He quickly realizes that they are truly in love. Hoping that it will help mend
