SNC wasted little time completing his notes and assessed the obstacle for a few moments before he briefed his team. His brief consisted of all the parts of the 5 paragraph order; however, he displayed lack of confidence in his tone of voice and gave a confusing brief that bounced around the 5 paragraph order. His decision making was slow during the execution and this was displayed through lack of communication to his team. SNC did not listen to the coordinating instructions very well, as he added they could not touch an area of the obstacle that was authorized, which was part of a previous scenario. The minimal communication…

Many of organizations today use a variety of techniques for collecting evidence and data about applicants. Methods such as, interviews, personality tests, ability tests, assessment centers, physical tests can be used to classify if applicants are suitable or unsuitable for the job and the company's culture. According to Schultz and Schultz (2010), hiring decisions usually are not based on one method, but on a combination of methods. Organizations are using varied selection tools to guarantee that they collect all of the relevant information. Structured interview is a specific set of questions that can be asked to any person to help diagnose an abnormal psychological disorder. Before I began my structured interview I read through the set of questions to get the flow of the interview. I also tried to imagine what a person might hold back about and made some side notes on how I would try to encourage the patient to give more information. I have not given many formal interviews such as the structured interview. If I were to become a clinician I would probably prefer the unstructured format. However I did learn several things about clinical interviews and there were things that I did and did not like. In the following paragraphs I will describe my trial experience.…

One of the main shortcomings I see in the current selection process at Sinotrading is that it doesn’t take into account prior performance or experience in similar jobs, as well as amount of schooling and the kind of schooling each candidate has. By using the current method, just talking to someone isn’t enough to tell about a person’s skills and abilities, anyone can lie to get a job if they want it hard enough. An overall impression could be biased and would not represent each person’s potential in a nonbiased, objective manner.…
