Could you imagine wearing a brass coil around your neck for your entire life? Restricting your movement, feeling uncomfortable, and having a hard time reaching that itch?

II. Purpose Sentence
Today I’m going to inform you of the long neck women of Thailand and their unique neck rings that they wear.

III. Preview
Thailand has a much different culture than we do in America and most countries. Here in American we wear jewelry; however, our necklaces are quite a bit different in many different ways. And we are allowed to take ours off with a little clip, rather than taking hours to wrap a coil around your neck for life. What a commitment.

Cultures are different, however, it is normal to the women of Thailand. I’m going to leave you with a quote Walter Lippmann once stated, “Culture is the name for what people are interested in, their thoughts, their models, the books they read and the speeches they hear, their table-talk, gossip, controversies, historical sense and scientific training, the values they appreciate, the quality of life they admire. All communities have a culture. It is the climate of their civilization.”
