With Halloween in sight, it can mean only one thing and we’re not talking about Trick or Treating. This is especially the case when it comes to something that’s potentially very dangerous. Here’s a little info on not only the law surrounding fireworks, but some safety aspects too. It’s also an offence for anyone that isn’t a firework professional to possess professional display fireworks too and as a result, the police now have the power to issue fixed penalties to those caught in violation of such laws. For those holding events or even their own private fireworks parties, you should also be aware that it’s illegal to set any fireworks off between the hours of 11pm and 7am. The only exception to this rule is on that all-important day itself (5th November) when firework displays may continue until midnight.
