Firefighter's Job Stressful Essay
What makes a firefighter’s job stressful? There are many factors that can make a firefighter’s job stressful. They are constantly on call. Since firefighters are constantly on call this can lead to a lack of sleep. A lack of sleep can lead to physical and mental issues for an individual. Another issue that can make a firefighter’s job stressful is technical problems. Firefighter’s could have gear that does not fit properly or tools that do not work properly. Having bad crew members can also lead to stress. Considering a firefighter is always on call he or she spends a lot of time with other firefighters. Having coworkers who gets on someone’s nerves can lead to stress. If a crew cannot work through their differences then this can result of dreading work. Poor leadership can also contribute stress to a firefighter’s …show more content…
There are several ways to mitigate stress. One example is understand the differences between the terms, responsibility, and authority. Providing daily feedback on an individual’s performance is another way to reduce stress. Training often is one other example to decrease stress. Honing one’s skills can decrease pre-emergency stress for a firefighter’s team.
What makes a bank teller’s job stressful? A teller’s job can be very stressful. Frequently tellers are put in a position of making people upset. Many customers do not understand a bank’s policies and procedures and expects a teller to do anything they ask. Many times a teller has to deny a customer's request if it does not follow any of the bank’s policies. Therefore a teller has to now deal with an angry customer.
Another reason why a teller’s job is stressful is there is a risk of robbery. A teller must always be on alert of suspicious individuals that come into the bank. Fraud is another example of what makes a teller’s job stressful. Tellers have to be on constant alert for fraud checks or counterfeit money.
