Executive Summary

This report provides an analysis on international and comparative employment relations in international human resource management. To make it clearer, the author chooses to analyze Astrindo Company as it has been successes for several years. The main objectives of this research is to identify factors that drive expatriate to examine employees’ skills and perception towards international human resource management. It is also to analyze the way of IHRM cycle which can help expatriate to be successful to provide the employees for better performance. In this case, research has been done by doing survey in the Astrindo Company in Indonesia. With that in mind, this research provides introduction of international human resource management in business activities, as well as to analyze the organizations with all activities associated to staffing and sustaining an effective labor force. The, it also conducts quantitative method and qualitative method to collect necessary and accurate data which was collected through survey on 47 employees. The quantitative method will be using survey to the employees of Astrindo Company and the qualitative method will be used as interview to international human resource manager of Astrindo Company. The data that are collected is interpreted into valuable findings that have achieved the research objectives. The analysis involves percentage analysis, and grounded theory. From the analysis, the author will elaborate what factors that can make expatriate and employees are on the line in every applied practices. In addition, the author provides conclusion to sum all the data from finding and analysis. Moreover, a list of recommendations for Astrindo Company has been provided to further enchance the employees and expatriate skills’ performance that help them to stay competitive in the present and long term. Last but not least, the limitation of the research has also been provided as well.
