Film Analysis: The Veil

The elements in the composing of a film are to show attention and the meaning of the film industry. The elements evaluate today is sounds, editing, mise en scene, and cinematography in Phil Joanou ‘s The Veil . In The Veil, all these components release good concept of the movie, which give a good understanding of the film. The movie films a group of people (Maggie Price, Sarah Hope, Jim Jacobs, Karen Sweetz, Jill, Nick, Ed, and Ann) of trying to find out what happen to the Sarah hope hometown, after everybody in her hometown except Sarah commit suicide. Some of the scene I‘ve choose from the movie will contribute to those elements. There are multiple sounds from the movie Veil. Before the movie has actually started, there was a howl sound, the reason the producer want to give the audience suspicious. After the howl sound, it began to fade away and then the movie began to play. When the movie began to play, this guy name Jim Jacob shouted out of his philosophy
In the book of an introduction of films, editing has a lot of process of making a final cut of movies. In making the final cut, there’s the shot of the actual film, the rate of speed at which films subjects are revealed, the feature of films, footage of the exposed motion, and sequence. In one scene Sarah hope and the crew went to her father old house. In the middle of the hallway, Sarah was seeing her younger self holding a doll in her hand. The movie edit made it seems like it’s a flashback and piece of different object is jogging back her memories. In another scene the producer made a edit adjustment on where spirts flipping tables and sticking needles into one of the crew members neck. This setting spot that spirts were around the house and clam that it hunted. In the end the editing and cinematography shows creative style cause the use of colors, the shots, building blocks, and transition of which of making it a good
