Film Analysis: My Girl
Set in America in the early 1970s the movie, My Girl shows how the main protagonist, Vada, goes through many events as she matures. The audience follows Vada on her journey as a young girl who has trouble seeing anyone else’s needs but her own. She tries to act mature and wants to be treated that way but it doesn’t happen because she comes across as so innocent. This can be seen by her actions of still wanting to ride a bike, the crush on her teacher and wanting to hang out with her best friend Thomas J.     Soaked, little, and naked is how the viewer finds Susanna in the middle of Girl, Interrupted. Or rather, soaked, little, naked, and hysterical.
